The last moments
of beauty.

Join forces with activists, NGO leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, scientists, and investors to take action now and reverse the impact of biodiversity loss.

Our vision

A network that creates capacity to stop biodiversity loss.

At a time when our planet’s ecosystems are at a breaking point, the Capacity Network brings together leading activists, NGO leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, scientists, and investors to find joint solutions to the biggest challenge of our time. This network is the vital missing piece in creating the capacity needed to turn the tide on biodiversity loss.

  • The truth

We have reached the critical tipping point for our planet’s ecosystems. Every day, 150 species are lost, and 75% of Earth’s surface is degraded*. The survival of both nature and humanity now depends on our immediate action.

    The problem

There is a lack of awareness, coordinated solutions, and a commercial mindset. Key technologies remain unscaled, and NGOs are underfunded, contributing to a €700 billion* funding gap.

    The solution

An action-driven network that connects and empowers key stakeholders — activists, NGO leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, scientists, and investors — to build more effective solutions. This is the missing building block needed to create the capacity to reverse biodiversity loss.

How we do it

  • Thousands of individuals are fighting against biodiversity loss. By mapping and identifying key leaders, we can gain a clearer understanding of the landscape and create a unified voice.

  • Imagine connecting a cutting-edge biodiversity tech startup with a corporation seeking the perfect solution, then bringing an NGO on board to implement it on the ground. This is just one way capacity can create powerful synergies through its network.

  • We want to bring diversity commitments into regulation. For this, it's crucial to equip policymakers with data, insights, and real-world examples to help them make informed decisions that prioritize biodiversity conservation. By bridging the gap between science, business, and policy, we ensure that laws and regulations align human activity with nature—using litigation if necessary.

  • Engaging more individuals, companies, and organizations is essential. Everyone must understand the value of nature (that outweighs the cost to invest) and dedicate more capacity to prevent ecosystem collapse. Our network raises awareness in both the public and private sectors and channels the capacity to support those on the ground.

  • Increased awareness of biodiversity preservation and holistic solutions provides the leverage needed to attract substantial capital. Our business-oriented approach draws new investors to the sector and helps startups and NGOs secure additional funding. This brings us closer to our ultimate goal: giving nature an economic value.

„We need substantial capital and entrepreneurial mindset to make biodiversity the No. 1 priority."

Lawrence Leuschner, founder of Capacity, serial entrepreneur and investor in climate and biodiversity is leveraging his vision of systemic leadership to unite people and raise billions for the fight against the collapse of the ecosystem.
