He founded the Sinchi Foundation in 2016 to act as an ally to Indigenous peoples and has partnered with communities across 6 continents. His work today focuses on the Amazon rainforest through the Treesistance initiative and platform.

TREESISTANCE
Treesistance was launched in 2023 as a home to Sinchi’s activities in the Amazon focusing on 4 pillars; access to justice, communications, renewable energy and sustainable economic development. The organization is perhaps best known for its acclaimed forest guardian program which is led by Chief Dadá Borari and has helped create, train and sustain forest guardian groups across 11 Indigenous territories (In 3 Brazilian States), protecting over 500,000 hectares of primary rainforest (As of the end of 2024)
