He holds degrees in Entrepreneurship & Sustainability from McGill University and Biodiversity, Wildlife, and Ecosystem Health from the University of Edinburgh. Before founding ERS, he helped scale a climate-tech company from 50 to 750 employees as Chief of Staff.

Thibault Sorret is a dedicated conservationist and the CEO and co-founder of ERS - Ecosystem Restoration Standard, an organization that sets the benchmark for transparency and impact in restoration projects within the carbon markets. With a Master’s in Biodiversity and Ecosystem Health from the University of Edinburgh, Thibault is passionate about bridging the gap between science and practical restoration efforts. His career spans roles at Lufa Farms, where he led operations and strategic growth, and extensive experience in sustainability and environmental management. He is also a certified member of the Society for Ecological Restoration and an advocate for integrating innovative monitoring and reporting tools to enhance credibility in the carbon market. Thibault’s work is driven by a mission to create impactful, nature-based solutions that restore ecosystems and empower local communities.
