About:
Jenny Lay-Kumar has been involved in sustainability for over 30 years, starting with a local Greenpeace youth group as part of one of the first Greenteams in Germany. For the last 20 years, she has worked in research, education, and activism focused on sustainable agriculture and food systems. She holds a PhD in environmental sociology. In 2022, she founded the not-for-profit think tank Regionalwert Research, which works on integrating environmental and social issues into corporate sustainability metrics, such as accounting for biodiversity hazards and benefits.
