Gesa Biermann is the Co-Founder and CEO of Pina Earth, an innovative company based in Munich that aims to protect forests through quantifying and rewarding sustainable forestry practices. Gesa's expertise lies in corporate sustainability and innovation management. Before founding Pina Earth, she was a doctoral candidate at the Center for Digital Technology and Management (CDTM), a joint institute of LMU and TU Munich, where she focused on the intersection of digital technology, management, and entrepreneurship. She has also worked as a Digital Strategy Business Analyst at Bloom Partners and interned in strategy consulting at A.T. Kearney.
In addition to her corporate experience, Gesa co-founded 180 Degrees Consulting Munich, helping socially oriented and non-profit organizations enhance their impact through student-led consulting projects. Her entrepreneurial spirit is evident from her earlier venture, "Das Goldene Taxi," a fashion brand she launched and sold. With a passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving social change, Gesa continues to lead Pina Earth in making a positive environmental impact.
