As a forest engineer, Jan has been committed to nature conservation and forests for almost 25 years. During this time, he has planted more than 2 million trees in Germany and realised many different biodiversity projects. For some years now, he has also been supporting reforestation projects abroad with his foundation (Nepal, Nigeria and soon Brazil). He lives in Hamburg and maintains and develops nature reserves with volunteers.

About:

As a forest engineer, Jan has been committed to nature conservation and forests for almost 25 years. For some years now, he has also been supporting reforestation projects abroad with his foundation (Nepal, Nigeria and soon Brazil). He lives in Hamburg and maintains and develops nature reserves with volunteers. He sees himself as a contact person for companies and citizens who want to get involved with forests and nature in Germany and abroad. He does this passionately and with full conviction.

The Schutzgemeinschaft Deutscher Wald (SDW) Hamburg focuses on forest conservation and environmental education in Hamburg, Germany. It promotes the sustainable management and protection of forests, organizing programs for schools, businesses, and the public to raise awareness about forest ecosystems and their importance for biodiversity and climate. The organization also collaborates with local communities to enhance urban green spaces and natural areas.
