There, he implemented innovative remote sensing technologies to monitor the progress of 130 million trees across 20,000 planting sites and conducted research into smallholder carbon markets.
Prior to his focus on climate action, Hannes gained extensive product leadership experience at BCG Digital Ventures, where he spent over three years building and scaling digital ventures. Notably, he served as CPO at UP42, developing an Earth observation platform that enables automatic processing of geospatial data, further contributing to environmental monitoring capabilities.
