Thijn Kortenbach is a Policy Shaper at Volt Europa, a progressive pan-European political movement dedicated to addressing cross-border challenges through democratic reforms. In this role, he develops European policies on biodiversity and climate, crafting innovative proposals that align with Volt’s vision for a sustainable and inclusive future.
Alongside his role at Volt, Thijn is a Project Manager for Climate & Environment at BayWa AG, where he contributes to corporate sustainability initiatives, including biodiversity enhancement, compliance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), and participation in the CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project).
Previously, Thijn worked as a Management Consultant at Triathlon Group, specializing in sustainability reporting, decarbonization strategies, and corporate sustainability assessments. His consultancy work provided data-driven insights to promote ecological sustainability across various sectors. Thijn also conducted research at Koucky & Partners AB, where he deepened his expertise in sustainable strategies.
