A former Senior Partner at McKinsey, he has advised the World Economic Forum, authored the book A Good Disruption, and serves as a professor at Innsbruck University. Passionate about environmental solutions, Martin is also a board member, organic farmer, and avid alpinist, shaping the future of sustainable land use and economic transformation.

He is also the Founder of SYSTEMIQ, a company dedicated to driving systemic change in land use, energy, and industrial production to meet climate and sustainability goals.
Before his entrepreneurial ventures, Martin spent over 20 years at McKinsey & Company, where he was a Senior Partner and led the global sustainability practice. He has advised governments, businesses, and international organizations on strategies to transform economic models and combat climate change.
Beyond business, Martin serves as a Professor of Resource Strategy and Management at Innsbruck University, educating future leaders on sustainable development. He is a strategic advisor to the World Economic Forum, a board member of multiple organizations, and the author of A Good Disruption: Redefining Growth in the 21st Century, which explores the intersection of economic progress and environmental stewardship.
An organic farmer, father of six, and avid alpinist, Martin integrates his deep passion for nature into both his personal and professional life. His mission is to redefine wealth and prosperity by integrating nature into the global economy, ensuring a more resilient and sustainable future.
