Gerrit is founder and CEO of Quintus Studios, a next generation channel operator and distribution business. Quintus comprises “Quintus Channel Networks”, one of the world´s biggest independent, documentary channel networks on Youtube, Facebook and Snapchat with over 14 million subscribers,  “Quintus Productions” combining the company´s content financing and production activities and “Quintus Distribution”, a global distribution unit for Quintus Originals as well as 3rd party content. Quintus is unique in its positioning between linear and digital and one of the first media companies globally that produces documentaries on a tv quality level for a digital first audience. Gerrit founded Quintus Studios in 2011 as a one-man band and has developed it into a non-scripted powerhouse. Prior to starting Quintus, Gerrit held a senior role at IMG Media where he was responsible for all documentary and sports license sales including NFL and golf’s European Tour in several European territories. He holds a master´s degree in Media Science, English and Business Administration from the University of Bonn, Germany.

Passionate about environmental sustainability, Gerrit joined Capacity.eco to volunteer in initiatives supporting biodiversity and conservation. Through this collaboration, he aims to leverage his experience to promote awareness and educational content on biodiversity, bridging media with impactful environmental projects. His work underscores a commitment to supporting initiatives that foster ecological preservation and inspire sustainable practices on a global scale.
