About:

Christoph Warrack is an accomplished impact innovator, ecosystem convener, and communicator dedicated to building regenerative futures. With over 25 years of experience across environmental entrepreneurship, community empowerment, nature finance, and creative industries, Christoph is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Common, a pioneering platform enabling communities to acquire, protect, and regenerate local woodlands and landscapes. Common combines crowdfunding with blended natural capital finance, democratizing access to ecological stewardship and nature-based enterprise.

A values-driven social entrepreneur, Christoph has founded and led multiple ventures at the convergence of culture, inclusion, and sustainability. Notably, he was the founder and CEO of Open Cinema, an award-winning international social franchise that empowered marginalized communities through film and storytelling. He later launched B Foundry, an impact venture studio supporting cleantech and nature-based startups, which incubated initiatives like MovingBeyond—a leadership platform for net-zero transitions—and Gather, a collaborative platform piloted by London Borough of Lambeth to accelerate inclusive climate action.

A frequent collaborator with foundations, policymakers, and local authorities, Christoph’s work is supported by the Forestry Commission EnglandEsmée Fairbairn Foundation, and the Frederick Mulder Foundation. He is also a Venture Mentor at the Grantham Research Institute and sits on the Development Board of Black Mountains College, helping shape education for ecological and societal resilience.

His recognitions include RSA Catalyst Awards, London + Acumen winner, and multiple impact accelerator fellowships. Christoph holds a master's degree in performance from Central Saint Martins and studied development economics at MIT under Nobel Laureates Esther Duflo and Abhijit Banerjee. He is a passionate advocate for community-led systems change and a compelling voice in the movement to align finance, governance, and nature for the long-term wellbeing of people and planet.
