Anna Alex is a serial entrepreneur and angel investor with a focus on addressing major challenges in climate and nature conservation. Her latest venture, NALA Earth, pioneers the measurement of biodiversity and nature for companies. Prior to NALA Earth, Anna founded Planetly, a leading carbon management solution, which she successfully scaled to 250 employees and over 350 customers in just three years before its acquisition by a US software company in 2021. Anna's entrepreneurial journey also includes the establishment of Outfittery, now Europe's premier curated shopping company.
In addition to her entrepreneurial pursuits, Anna is an active angel investor in the climate tech sector and serves on multiple boards, including the Vodafone Sustainability Board. She is also a member of the advisory council "Young Digital Economy" for the German Minister for Economics. Anna's philanthropic efforts are channeled through her foundation, the Wild&Free Animal Fund, supporting organizations combatting livestock farming.
Anna Alex holds degrees in economics, sociology, and psychology from Freiburg and Paris universities. Throughout her career, she has been recognized as one of Europe's "Inspiring Fifty," named among "the most inspiring women in tech," and honored as part of the "Young Elite - Top 40 under 40."
